Temporary and Final Certificates of Occupancy

A Certificate of Occupancy is required for any new structure or for any change of use. The Certificate of Occupancy certifies that at the time of issuance, the structure was in compliance with the adopted Building and Zoning Code.

A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy may be issued if there are no outstanding life, safety, and health items and generally, the only outstanding remaining items are either sod, permanent ground cover, or landscaping.
