Indianola Ice Rink
The Indianola Ice Rink is located at the Indianola Activity Center, 2204 W. 2nd Avenue. The opening of the rink will be publicized on the city's website, Parks & Recreation's FaceBook page, and by text to those who have signed up to receive text about the ice rink. Weather must stay cold enough, long enough, for ice to freeze and be thick enough for skating.
Do not skate on the ice unless the Green "Rink is Open" sign has been posted.
During winter months, the ice will be open for hockey from 7am to noon. Open Skate hours will be held from noon to 11pm daily.
The rink is free for public use and will be open as weather permits. Shovels will be available to clear the ice.
A green sign will be posted at the Activity Center driveway and another by the arena to indicate that the rink is open; a red sign will be posted when the rink is closed. All skaters are advised that they are skating at their own risk. The rink is not supervised.
This public ice rink, which measures 80 x 40 feet, was donated in partnership with the Iowa Wild and Wells Fargo in the fall of 2018.
