Board and commission members must be Indianola Residents and applicants are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Terms for the boards and commissions vary and are established by Municipal Code. The City is currently actively pursuing a gender balance to all boards and commissions while maintaing a high level of expertise in all areas.
