Established in January of 2011, the Indianola Mayor's Youth Council provides Indianola's youth with an active role in addressing issues in our community. Sixteen Indianola High School students have been chosen to serve on the new council and will have the unique opportunity to learn how government works, represent the youth in our community, and become actively involved with community projects and activities. Participation on the council offers valuable leadership experience and will involve close interaction with the Mayor, City Council, and members of the community in working toward the betterment of Indianola. |
