The Zone is a drop-in program and students will check in with a supervisor when they arrive. Students leaving before 5:00 pm will also be asked to check out. Parents do not need to be present. Photography: There is always something new to learn when it comes to iPad/iPhone photography. Discover new features on your Camera app to help you take artistic and fun photos on the go. We will also learn to edit your pictures with the amazing tools found right in the built-in Photos app. Now there are many third party apps that will run in conjunction with the built in editor for ease of use. Step up your skills and be rewarded with magical photo results.

When the sun goes down, the fun begins! Participants need to bring a sack or basket to collect eggs, and their own flashlight. After the hunt prizes will be awarded and then join us for s'mores around the campfire.

All individuals with special needs (ages 14 and above) are invited to register for this fun chalk paint workshop with Beth Voltmer! Using chalk paint is a cost effective way to refresh and renew old furniture, garage sale finds, and décor items, without all the prepping, stripping and sanding that is needed when you do it the old-fashioned way. Participants will re-purpose a metal tray into a memo board using chalk paint, magnets and vintage buttons. Class size is limited to allow for personal instruction. Registration fee includes all materials and instruction. Participants will leave with a completed project.

Do YOU have what it takes to be a first-class babysitter? In this class presented by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach you will learn your responsibilities as a babysitter, what parents expect of you, how to care for infants and young children, age-appropriate activities, safety, and how to handle emergencies. Open to boys and girls in 5th grade and above. The registration fee includes a workbook, childcare resources, and snack. Participants who attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of participation. Each participant needs to bring a baby doll and a children's toy for use in class. On Wednesday, March 28th students have the option of arriving at 2:30pm following early dismissal; formal instruction will not begin until 3:30pm.
