Join us for a fun day discovering Des Moines’ East Village! We’ll start with a guided tour of the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, a vibrant, seven-acre public garden. Whether you’re a plant and garden enthusiast or simply enjoy being in a beautiful place, the living displays offer something for everyone to learn from and enjoy. After our tour we’ll enjoy lunch at the on-site Trellis Café, featuring a local, fresh plant-based menu with a view overlooking the water garden and downtown. Next we’ll head towards the heart of the East Village to explore the unique variety of stores and eateries where you can do a little shopping or grab a dessert or cup of coffee. Your registration fee includes admission and tour of the Gardens plus transportation. Please bring spending money for lunch and shopping and wear comfortable shoes for walking.
