Ice build on streets and sidewalks

SumpPumpIceRoad.Elsa

Does it seem like your roads are covered in ice, like Elsa has recently been past?

Over the past few weeks, the City has received inquiries concerning ice build on streets and sidewalks caused by sump pump discharge. Please help us keep this a bump, bruise and break free holiday season by keeping streets and sidewalks clear of ice and snow. City regulations prohibit the discharge of sump pumps any closer than 5 feet to a property line or any public right-of-way and require that abutting property owners remove snow, ice and accumulations promptly from sidewalks. To report issues, please do so via the City’s website under the tab “How do I…” > “Submit” > “Requests”.
