A Building Permit is required to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish any building or structure.

Special Notes:

Persons must:
1) File an application identifying the work to be covered by the permit,
2) Provide a description, preferable by street address, and
3) Indicate the intended use. Include plans, diagrams and specifications, as required by the Building Official. Issuance of a Building Permit may require site plan approval. 

Inspections:

  All construction or work for which the permit is required is subject to inspection by the Building Official. The applicant is responsible for contacting the Community Development Department at appropriate intervals. 

Timing:

 Permit is usually granted in two to five days dependant on type of construction.
