A Swimming Pool Permit is required for the installation of any above-ground or below-ground pool with a capacity of more than 5,000 gallons.

Special Notes:

  The City Code requires swimming pools  of 5,000 gallons or more be completely protected by an appropriate barrier (fence) of not less than six feet in height. A site plan is also required for the location of the pool on the site. 

Inspections:

  All construction or work for which a permit is required is subject to inspection by the Building Official. The applicant is responsible for contacting the Community Development Department at appropriate intervals during construction. 

Timing:

  Permit is usually granted in one to two days.
