The Indianola Fire Department is led by a full-time administration that includes a fire chief and a deputy chief. Paid-on-call deputy chief, line officers and other administrative staff support the chief officers. The department has six full-time firefighter/paramedics working a rotating 24 hour and 48 hour off schedule. Part-time staff work weekdays with the full-time crew. The department is served by forty paid-on-call firefighters/medics or firefighter/paramedics.
