Check out these special programs just for children this summer.
Registration is required.
Sneak Peek Readers’ Group
Monday, June 25 from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m.
Monday, July 23 from 3:30 – 4:00 p.m.
For ages 8-11
This group is so much fun we want to meet all summer long! Open to all fourth- and fifth-graders, we meet monthly and talk about the cool books we’re reading. Some kids even write a couple of comments about their books and add them to the Sneak Peek blog on the Library’s website. (Take a peek!) If you’re headed for fourth grade this fall, we’d love to have you, too!
Lego Building Challenge
Tuesday, June 19 from 2:00-3:30 p.m.
For ages 8-12
Dream up an original, elaborate or unusual structure to make with your Legos, and pit your talents against other Lego enthusiasts. Participants will bring their own Legos (no kits) and have 90 minutes to build from start to finish. Work by yourself or with a friend. Complete rules available at the Library. Click here for a copy of the rules.
The Puppet Factory
June 26, 27, and 28 from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
For ages 9-12
Learn to make puppets from start to finish in this special three-session workshop. Retired teacher Sue Graeser will guide you through the process, from designing and making the plaster head, through clothing and accessorizing the character you create.
