Social Suicide

Mon, 07 May 2012 14:46:00 +0000

If you liked Hartley and Chase in Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday, then you'll love their second adventure Social Suicide.

Hartley, now a writer for the Herbert Hoover High homepage, lands her first big story when one of the most popular girls in school is suspended for cheating and then is later found dead in her swimming pool - the victim of Twittercide (death while tweeting).

No level is too low for Hartley to stoop in the pursuit of her story, including breaking into the school, setting up a sting, and even going to undercover to the Homecoming dance with Chase.

Nothing distracts her from the case, except for perhaps worry that her Mom's new-found addiction to Match.com will send her into the arms of a cyberperv or the perceptual distraction of superhot Chase who may or may not be asking her on a date.

This is the funniest series I've read in a long time. Entertaining with great characters. Start with Deadly Cool and move on to Social Suicide.
