WILBOR - EBOOKS AND DOWNLOADABLE AUDIOBOOKS

The Library is a member of WILBOR, a multi-county consortium. This membership allows you to download both ebooks and audiobooks. This participation is made possible through the support of the Friends of the Indianola Public Library Foundation.

WHY WE CAN'T GET YOUR FAVORITE EBOOK OR AUDIOBOOK FOR DOWNLOAD

eBook Instructions

To download ebooks from the Library's collection, just follow these step-by-step instructions.

Kindle Instructions
Before you can download library ebooks, you will need to register your device with Amazon. If you are having difficulties doing this, we recommend that you visit the Amazon web site.

To download library books to a Kindle, Kindle Touch or Kindle DX, click HERE.
To download library books to a Kindle Fire, click HERE.

Nook Instructions
Before you can download library ebooks to your Nook, you will need to register your device with Barnes and Noble. If you are having difficulties doing this, we recommend that you visit the Barnes and Noble web site or a local Barnes and Noble store.

Mobile Reading Device (iPad, iPod Touch, or Android device)
Devices must be registered with the company and the appropriate app installed on your device. Questions about doing this should be addressed to that company.

Audiobook Instructions

Step 1: Finding an audiobook
Click on the Login tab.
Select Indianola Public Library.
Enter library card number (capital “P” followed by 8 zeros and the five unique numbers at the end).
Find the book that you want.
Add to cart.
Proceed to checkout.

Step 2: Downloading OverDrive
Click the link to download OverDrive software .
SAVE FILE, go to where you saved it and click on RUN.
Follow Wizard prompts.

Step 3: Downloading an audiobook
Go back to the Wilbor Overdrive page.
Click on Download located below the book picture.
OPEN WITH: Overdrive Media Console.
Follow Wizard.
Download parts.

The audiobook can be listened to through the OverDrive Media Console on your PC. An MP3 Player is NOT required.

Step 4: Transfer to MP3 Player (optional)
Connect MP3 Player to PC.
Select title in the OverDrive Media Console you want to transfer.
Click Transfer.
Follow Wizard.
