We Value Volunteers!

Each year your Parks & Recreation Department depend on hundreds of volunteers donating thousands of hours to assist us with our programs and events, as well as with community beautification.  Volunteers are a very important part of our operation, and we would highly encourage people to contribute to our community in this capacity.  We have listed current areas for volunteering below; other opportunities may be available.

All you need is the desire and willingness to help - we will provide any necessary training.  If you already have special skills or training which could be utilized by our organization, we'd love to hear from you as well.

PARK VOLUNTEERS

New in 2010, the Indianola Park Volunteer program offers a variety of opportunities throughout the Indianola park system.  Various levels of commitment are available, to fit with your busy schedule.

Plus, you'll receive recognition in our Activity Guide and on this website, and incentives such as a free Park Volunteers T-shirt and a Volunteer BBQ and Ice Cream Social in August or September!
