program details

Shade trees are offered each year on a first-come, first-served basis until approximately 40 trees have been adopted. For a $25 adoption fee ($37 if you choose to have it staked, tied, and mulched), a homeowner in Indianola can choose a tree from selected species on a list and get a tree planted at the location of their choice on their property.

This program is being offered by the Indianola Community Tree Committee, Indianola Municipal Utilities, and MidAmerican Energy Co.
