This all-volunteer community support group exists to enhance city parks, to support Indianola Parks & Recreation and the city horticulturalist and to generate awareness and excitement about parks in Indianola.

Indianola Park Friends members have the opportunity to assist city horticulturalist Angie Buchanan with garden design, provide volunteer services to help with planting and maintenance and develop opportunities for the community to learn more about its parks.  There is a wide range of opportunities for service and contributions, which are tax deductible.  The group also raises funds for future park improvements such as the wind sculpture garden at Buxton Park.
