The land for this park was purchased in 1956 from Victor and Lois Gillespie for the purpose of building a pool. The park contains play equipment, open areas, a large Aquatic Center, an outdoor Amphitheater, and Skate Park.
New amphitheater facility was completed in 2010 and is available for public use.
