  2. Walk with Ease

    Walk with Ease is an exciting new program partnership between Community Health Partners and the City of Indianola Parks and Recreation Department. This program is designed to encourage people to start walking to better manage their pain, chronic conditions, weight, and to stay active. The benefits of the program include: decrease pain, stiffness and fatigue; decrease disability; increase strength, balance, and walking pace; and increase confidence in ability to manage chronic condition. This six-week small-group walking program is instructed by a certified WWE instructor. Participants will receive health education, stretching, and strengthening exercises, and walk with a group for the support and enjoyment of company.   3. Beginning Quilting

    Come catch the quilting bug! Join Cindy Butler and Lisa Butler-Msuya for their three week class to learn the basics of quilting as you create your own throw size quilt (pictured). Topics will include fabric choices, cutting and piecing techniques, and options for finishing the quilt top. This is the perfect class for those new to quilting, those needing a review, and any other quilter who likes to quilt with friends. Participants need to bring their own sewing machine and have knowledge of how to use it, and also must bring their own supplies (see supply list when you click on link). Cindy and Lisa are a mother-daughter duo who have been making quilts for their business, Binding Hearts Quilting, and for their family and friends for over thirty years.
