Perfect for those just beginning a workout program, they are also easily adjusted for use by those advancing through their exercise program. Come join us and learn how to use these versatile and easily transported bands for your next workout routine. Free class for adults 50 or better. Strength bands will be provided free of charge. Provided by the physical therapists at Athletico Physical Therapy-Indianola.

    Vocalist Gina Gedler has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years in stage and film performances, with her combo at Noce Jazz and Cabaret Club in Des Moines, and as the vocalist for several local big bands. For this performance, she will be accompanied by pianist Jamie Poulson. You’ll hear an eclectic mix of tunes by artists such as: Billie Holiday, Etta James, Adele, Peggy Lee, Patsy Cline, Van Morrison, Diana Krall, The Andrew Sisters, The Pointer Sisters, Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, The Beatles, Cole Porter and Nat King Cole.

    Do YOU have what it takes to be a first-class babysitter? In this class presented by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach you will learn your responsibilities as a babysitter, what parents expect of you, how to care for infants and young children, age-appropriate activities, safety, and how to handle emergencies. Open to boys and girls in 5th grade and above. The registration fee includes a workbook, childcare resources, and snack. Participants who attend all three sessions will receive a certificate of participation. Each participant needs to bring a baby doll and a children’s toy for use in class. Non 4-H members must complete a 4-H medical form and bring it to the first day of the clinic. Click the link on this page to download the form.
