2025 City of Indianola Election Results
City and school elections throughout the state of Iowa were held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. In the City of Indianola, offices on the ballot for the 2025 city election included mayor, second ward, fourth ward and one at-large council seat.
Unofficial election results showed the following:
Mayor
- Steve Richardson (incumbent): 1,914 votes
- Write-in: 102
Ward 2
- Ron Dalby (incumbent): 445
- Brad Ross: 339
- Write-in: 2
Ward 4
- Tiffany Davis: 308
- Write-in: 5
At-Large
- Bob Lane (incumbent): 1,825
- Write-in: 49
Results are unofficial until certified by the Warren County Board of Supervisors.
The terms for the newly elected Mayor and Indianola City Council members will begin in January 2026.

Election Day is on Tuesday, November 4. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Offices on the ballot for the 2025 city election are mayor, second ward, fourth ward and one at-large council seat.
Candidates include:
- Mayor: Steve Richardson (incumbent)
- Ward 2: Ron Dalby (incumbent) and Brad Ross
- Ward 4: Tiffany Davis
- At-Large: Bob Lane (incumbent)
What to Know Before You Vote

Who Can Vote
To register to vote in Iowa, you:
- Must be at least 17 years old.*
- A person may vote if they will be 18 years old on or before Election Day.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must be an Iowa resident.
- Cannot be a convicted felon, unless your voting rights have been restored by the Governor, including through Executive Order.
- After a felony conviction, please visit the Secretary of State's website for more information.
- Cannot be judged mentally incompetent by a court of law.
- Cannot claim the right to vote in any other place.

Where To Vote
There are several polling locations in Indianola. To find your specific location to go to vote on Election Day, please visit the Secretary of State's website and follow the prompts.

In-Person Absentee Voting
Wednesday, Oct. 15, is the start of in-person absentee voting. In Warren County, it is held at the Administration Building located at 301 North Buxton Street in Indianola. Voters will need to have a valid ID.

- October 15 to November 3 (Monday-Friday): 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- LOCATION: Administration Building (301 North Buxton Street, Indianola)
