Board of Adjustment

Duties

The Board of Adjustment (BOA) consists of up to 5 seated members that serve 5-year terms and are appointed by the City Council.

The Board is tasked with upholding the integrity of the City of Indianola Zoning Regulations and the 'Elevate Indianola' Comprehensive Plan. The Board makes decisions on applications for Special Use Permits and Variances. The Board will also hear appeals concerning decisions and interpretations made by Community & Economic Development staff.

Meetings

The BOA meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
