Donations & Memorials

The Indianola Parks and Recreation Department offers many options for individuals, families, businesses, civic groups  and other organizations to honor or remember a loved one, celebrate a special event or the birth of a child, or to recognize special people or groups.  Contributions are tax deductible. 

Examples

Buxton Park Memorial Garden Bricks

$75.00   4" x 8" brick can include up to 3 lines of text, with 14 characters and/or spaces per line.

Buxton Park Memorial Garden Pavers
 $200   8" x 8" granite paver can include up to 6 lines of text, with 14 characters and/or spaces per line

Trees
 $350   Your donation includes the cost of the tree and a memorial plaque. Let us know if you prefer a shade tree, conifer, or ornamental tree.

Park Benches
 $875   Benches can be located near a city park playground, at the Pickard Sports complex, or along a trail. Your donation includes the bench, a concrete pad and a memorial plaque.

Your Contribution

If you have other donation interests, we will be glad to discuss them with you. Your contribution may be given through the Indianola Community Foundation, a private non-profit foundation, if this is your desire. We will do our best to honor the wishes of each donor within the department guidelines and policies.
