It would be a significant improvement for the summer activities and promoting a healthier lifestyle if there were more pedestrian crossing sites along Hwy 92. Both the apartments and residential developments on the east end of the street and the community on the west end of the street are forced to drive in order to reach any part of downtown Indianola, including the square, the pool, and the college campus. I'm sure that it would have additional benefits for the community itself to be able to be more active as they participate in summer events as well as spring and fall. People with children would feel safer taking them across the street to the Warren County Fairgrounds and as town continues to develop and grow, this would facilitate increased foot traffic to the businesses along Hwy 92. This would be an easy "upgrade" to our town.
