Robert (Bob) Leonard, author of Deep Midwest and host of daily radio programs
on KNIA/KRLS, notices and captures in his writing many small things we value. His insightful thought-provoking poems and heart-felt prose bring laughter and sympathy amid appreciation for what we take for granted. Bob’s a regular contributor to the New York Times, Kansas City Star, and Des Moines Register
regarding agricultural and environmental issues. He lives outside Knoxville with his wife, Annie, and they have two children. Bob will talk about his writing process and what inspired him. Copies of Deep Midwest will be available and Bob will stay for a book-signing
