Tuesday storytimes have shorter books, geared toward a younger crowd (18-36 months). Thursday storytimes have longer books, geared toward an older crowd (3-6 years). We have songs and shakers at all storytimes, so you can choose either day or both!

The Indianola Trees Committee would like to increase the city's tree diversity and urban tree canopy by offering discounted trees to Indianola homeowners. High quality native trees will be available for Indianola residents to purchase. The committee will pay 50% of the cost of the tree with the remainder paid by the customer. All participants must be Indianola residents who agree to plant the tree(s) on residential property within Indianola city limits. There is a limit of up to 2 trees per household.

Indianola Parks & Recreation offers state-of-the-art fun & entertainment after school including video games, homework help, and fun & fitness. After checking in, students will enjoy a snack and then it's time for the fun to begin. Special activities include gaming competitions, Minute to Win It challenges, theme days, craft projets & contests.

Have you ever wanted to learn to shoot like Robin Hood? This is your chance! This class is aimed for our beginner and intermediate level archers. Spend time with a certified instructor learning about safety, parts of the bow, and how to shoot. You'll have plenty of practice time on our archery range, learning how to shoot a bullseye. On the last day we'll test your skills with archery games! Please be dressed for the weather! For the safety of guests and staff, please also bring and be prepared to wear a mask. We will do our best to limit the time masks need to be worn. All participants will receive an email directly from Wesley Woods providing instructions for completing an online health/waiver form.
