[ARCHIVED] City of Indianola Launches ‘Indy Unplugged’ Podcast

Indy Unplugged: A City of Indianola Podcast

The City of Indianola is excited to announce the official launch of “Indy Unplugged” – a conversational, interview-based podcast designed to give listeners a behind-the-scenes look and dive deeper into the stories, projects and initiatives throughout the city. Hosted by Communications Manager Aaron Young, the show will feature discussions with elected officials, insights from City staff and perspectives from valued community partners.

“We are thrilled to offer this resource to our citizens as another way to become more engaged and updated with their city,” Young said. “Podcasts continue to grow in popularity and have emerged as an effective digital platform to not only distribute information in a digestible manner, but to connect, celebrate and elevate the diverse voices and narratives that defines us as one community. I am excited to share these conversations and tell these stories through this format.”

At least one episode each month will be released, packed with in-depth conversations and real-time updates across a wide array of topics. The show’s first episode will be released Friday, February 9, 2024, and features Indianola Mayor Stephanie Erickson.
