[ARCHIVED] Join Mental Health Awareness Month Activities at Indianola Wellness Campus

Indianola Wellness Campus Mental Health Awareness Month Activities throughout May 2024.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Indianola Wellness Campus is hosting a variety of activities for the community to experience and support others.

May 1: Happy May Day!

Kick off Mental Health Awareness Month with some popcorn to celebrate May Day.

May 6: Certified Therapy Dogs

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., come join certified therapy dogs, Lucy and Abby, as they walk the facility to help give therapeutic support.

May 13: Coloring In The Social Center

Coloring and doodling is the perfect way to calm your brain. It's a great resource to relieve stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression.

May 16: Wear Green Day

Show others that you stand with them by wearing green, the color for Mental Health Awareness Month.

May 20: Stay Hydrated

The IWC will offer fruit-infused water in the lobby. Staying hydrated decreases depression symptoms and lowers the risk of dementia.

May 28: Stop And Smell The Roses

Starting at 10 a.m., the IWC will host a community walk outside. Join others in the community to take in the fresh, spring air and enjoy some leisurely exercise.

Be sure to follow the Indianola Wellness Campus on Facebook for updates and additional resources throughout Mental Health Awareness Month.
