Construction Update for N 9th Street and East Franklin AvenueEast Franklin Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvement

UPDATE (October 10, 2024): Due to broken concrete on North 9th Street as part of the sanitary sewer improvements being made along East Franklin Avenue, a lane closure is required to complete the repairs. Beginning Friday, Oct. 11, after the morning school traffic, crews will cut the concrete and tear it out in the afternoon.

From Saturday, Oct. 12 to Tuesday, Oct. 15, crews will pour concrete in the designated locations that require repair, beginning with the curb on the eastern part of North 9th Street. Crews will also pour the last sidewalk as well as the ADA ramp on the east side of North 9th Street, marking the completion of this project.

With school not in session during this time, our goal is to have all repairs completed and the intersection reopened before classes resume Wednesday, Oct. 16.
