UPDATE POST (9:15 p.m. July 31, 2024): The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Indianola expired at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 31. However, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains effective for Indianola and Warren County until 1 a.m. Thursday, August 1.

EARLIER POST (8:30 p.m. July 31, 2024): At 8:27 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, the National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a new Severe Thunderstorm Warning that includes Indianola and Warren County effective until 9:15 p.m. Wind gusts could reach up to 65 mph, the National Weather Service said.

ORIGINAL POST (7:59 p.m. July 31, 2024): At 7:54 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, the National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning that includes Indianola and Warren County effective until 8:45 p.m.
