UPDATE (Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025): The Indianola City Council met for a regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 18, followed by a study session.

- Among the items the Council approved were:
- The third consideration and adoption of an Ordinance for the division of revenues under Section 403.19, Code of Iowa, for the Emerald Bay Urban Renewal Plan.
- A contract with ReNew Biomedical Services LLC.
- A controlled structure burn at 2103 East Second Avenue and a hold harmless agreement related to the controlled burn.
- A resolution amending the fee schedule for inspections and permitting fees for the Indianola Fire Department.
Additionally, the Indianola City Council voted unanimously to appoint At-Large Council Member Steve Richardson to serve as mayor. The appointment follows former Indianola Mayor Stephanie Erickson’s decision to step down in January and serve solely in the role of Warren County Supervisor after being elected last November to represent District 4.
Richardson will complete the current mayoral term through Wednesday, Dec. 31. The position returns to the ballot this November. Read Full Announcement

ORIGINAL POST (Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025): The Indianola City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, followed by a study session.
Both meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at Indianola City Hall, located at 110 N 1st Street, Indianola, IA 50125.
They will also be available via livestream through the City of Indianola's YouTube channel.
