[ARCHIVED] Indianola Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center Opens May 31

Swimmers of all ages enjoying Indianola Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center

The Indianola Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center will officially open for the 2025 summer season on Saturday, May 31.

The facility, operated by Indianola Parks & Recreation, offers open swim sessions throughout the week with a variety of hours to accommodate families and individuals of all ages. 

Open Swim Hours

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 1:00-7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 1:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Admission Rates

  • General admission is $7 per person.
  • Children age 2 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.
  • Half-price admission is available after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and after 4:00 p.m. on weekends.

Season Passes

Season passes are available for $70 per person and can be purchased online or by calling Indianola Parks & Recreation at 515- 961-9420.

Visitor Reminders

Guests are encouraged to apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before arriving at the pool and to rinse off in the shower before entering the pool deck. These steps help reduce cloudy water caused by the interaction of sunscreen and body oils with chlorine. 

Patrons are welcome to bring their own chairs. Swim goggles are permitted, provided they are made of plastic and do not cover the nose.
