The City of Indianola is notifying residents and motorists that North D Street, between West Clinton Avenue and West Detroit Avenue, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, for private construction work.
Please plan extra travel time, follow the detour signs and drive carefully near the work zone.
Work Zone Signage & Travel Safety Tips
- “Road Closed Ahead” signs will be posted at West Ashland Avenue and West Henderson Avenue to give motorists a heads up of the closure.
- At West Boston Avenue and West Girard Avenue, the street will be marked “Road Closed to Thru Traffic,” but local access will remain open.
- The street will be fully barricaded at both ends (West Clinton Avenue and North D Street as well as West Detroit Avenue and North D Street) with clear detour signs.
- Detour signs will guide drivers over to North F Street, where left and right detour options will be posted at both West Clinton Avenue and West Detroit Avenue.
