[ARCHIVED] Request for Proposals for an Aquatic Feasibility Study

New-Bid-Posting_generic

The city of Indianola, Iowa, is accepting proposals from qualified professional planning and design consultants to develop a community-supported, strategic Comprehensive Aquatic Facility Plan. The primary purpose of the plan is to analyze and inventory current aquatic facility and programs, provide short- and long-term guidance to park administration, the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Commission, Parks and Rec Commission, and City Council, and generate an implementable action plan for the continued maintenance and development of the current aquatic center and/or need for a newer facility.

This assessment will consider existing conditions at the current site, code corrections, and recommended enhancements.   This planning process will require public input to determine the needs of our community, evaluating the current Indianola Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center, and determining if there is a need for a newer and/or larger aquatic facility.  The selected firm will have proven experience and knowledge in aquatic facility planning and experience with public and other stakeholder engagement.
