The City of Indianola is thrilled to announce that Hillcrest Avenue is now reopened to traffic, as the Hillcrest Avenue Reconstruction Project reaches substantial completion!
This construction, which began on May 16, 2023, was completed in multiple phases to maintain access to businesses and residential properties. The entire stretch of Hillcrest Avenue reopened ahead of schedule on November 26, 2024.
Please note that some work remains, including temporary seeding this winter. In the spring, the contractor will return primarily to install sidewalk, complete permanent seeding, and address a few other minor tasks.
We sincerely thank motorists, residents, and businesses for their patience throughout the process. Kudos to the contractor for completing the project early!
