The Indianola City Council met for a regular meeting on Monday, February 2. The meeting can be viewed on the City’s YouTube channel.
Among the items that Council approved during the regular meeting were:
- A resolution accepting a grant for the Fire Department.
- The purchase of weight and fitness equipment for the Indianola Wellness Campus.
Additionally, Mayor Richardson issued proclamations that declared February 2, 2026, as “Chris Street Day” and February 1-7, 2026, as “Burn Awareness Week” in Indianola.

Next Council Meeting
The Council will next meet for a study session at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 9. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at Indianola City Hall, located at 110 N 1st Street, Indianola, IA 50125.

The next regular Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, due to Presidents Day on Monday, February 16.
